Which is why – whisper it – our latest generation of TDI engine is actually quieter than before, despite delivering more torque, lower CO2 emissions, and more miles per gallon.

But say you do want to pump up the volume, you’ll be pleased to know that every Transporter shuttle comes with upgraded Radio / CD player plus four speakers. And naturally, there’s 2nd generation Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP), with Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Differential Lock (EDS), and Anti-Spin Regulator (ASR).
