Its highly flexible seating will take 7 adults in comfort while also offering you a host of practical solutions, wherever you’re going.

Getting your passengers – or your shopping – in and out of the Sharan is simple, thanks to the large sliding rear doors.

The three seats in the middle row slide back and forwards by up to 160mm, pivot forward by 20 degrees to allow easy access to the back row, and both the second and third row of seats can be folded flat into the floor. Achieved with a smooth, one-handed movement, this creates an enormous luggage compartment of up to 2,430 litres.

And with a wheelbase which is now 75 mm longer than the outgoing model, the Sharan’s third row of seats is large enough to seat adults in comfort as well as children. The Sharan is a true 7-seater.

The Sharan has a sophisticated and elegant look featuring the distinctive new Volkswagen face.  Longer, wider and lower than the previous model, yet managing to weigh 30kg less, the Sharan displays a confident, stylish presence on the road.

Fresh styling means it now sports the distinctive Volkswagen ‘family face’ with a V-shaped bonnet and striking swept-back headlights framing a high gloss black grille with chrome trim. Strong lines in the front and back, as well as exposed wheel arches, lend it a dynamic air. The Sharan’s large sliding doors are an attractive design feature as well as supremely practical.
