TW200 Passenger Features
Aeroglide Under Floor Ramp
The new TW200 ‘aeroglide’ ramp is unique because it is slimmer than any of its competitors due to the ribbed under-floor design. The ramp is also uniquely extendable which results in a lower angle, thus making it much easier to load wheelchairs.Flip-up side up-stands ensure that the wheelchair has a guiding facility when being loaded. The ‘aeroglide’ ramp comes as standard on all SE models and is optional on the 216S and 220S models. The ‘S’ models include a light-weight manual ramp as standard, which is stored in the boot area.
Leatherette or E-Leather Rear Seats
Rear passenger seats come in for a lot of hard wear during the course of taxi use. On TW200 SE models a comfortable but extremely durable e-leather seating style is introduced as standard (also available as an option on ‘S’ models). To improve accessibility, each of the e-leather seats has a bright yellow visibility strip. Leatherette seating is also available as a budget option.
Increased Passenger Safety
The re-designed passenger grab handles are bigger and stronger, thus assisting entry and exit. These along with the payment tray are coloured in bright yellow for improved visibility. Across the top of both rears passenger doors there are three bright LED lights (standard in the TW200SE) which also greatly assist passengers getting into and out of the TW200 at night. Finally, the front bonnet of the TW200 is low, shaped and designed out of materials to meet the latest European Pedestrian Impact Requirements.
Comfortable Rear Facing Seats
The three rear facing passenger seats in the new TW200 have been completely re-designed with the aim of providing the most comfortable environment. This has been achieved by increasing the height of the seats and by the revised contoured back rests. Each of the three seat squabs are 400mm in width.
Easy Clean Trim Panels
The rear compartment area of any taxi will come in for a lot of heavy abuse – food and drink spills, luggage damage and worse. But with the new TW200, all the rear three panels are made out of custom designed, hard wearing ABS trim panels which are both durable and easy to clean.
Passenger Control Panel
In the rear compartment the passenger controls have now been moved from the side door to a central, roof mounted position. This makes the switches easy to use for all passengers. Switches are one-touch with a LED light to indicate on/off and there are controls for intercom, rear lights and rear heater. Once the rear heater is switched on it automatically turns off after 5 minutes.
